OIT - OPERATOR-IN-TRAINING
[4 DAYS INSTRUCTION + 1 EXAM DAY]
COURSE OVERVIEW
To provide operators of water treatment and water distribution systems with the knowledge required to successfully operate and maintain community facilities, and successfully challenge provincial certification exams.

COURSE OUTLINE
Basic and Applied Mathematics, Basic and Applied Science, Equipment, Workplace Safety, Legislation, Drinking Water Treatment and Distribution, and Wastewater Treatment and Collection. Reference: Operator-In-Training Study Guide – An Introduction to Water and Wastewater Operations” 2nd Edition, published by the Ontario Municipal Water Association. Participants may write all four OIT exams: water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment, and wastewater collection.

PREREQUISITE
Participants should have a Grade 12 or equivalent. Some exceptions may apply.
